About Tim Cronin

The author of nine books – with a 10th in production – Illinois Golfer's Tim Cronin is a veteran of over three decades in communications. The award-winning golf writer and columnist for the SouthtownStar, part of the Sun-Times Media Group, through 2011, Cronin has a wealth of knowledge about both golf and the communications business.

Compiler of the media guides for the BMW Championship, John Deere Classic and Western Amateur, he's also produced golf telecasts, video documentaries on the game, and is a frequent contributor to Chicago District Golfer, Golf Chicago and area newspapers, as well as The Associated Press. Cronin also chairs the Illinois Golf Hall of Fame selection committee.
